Sweet, Sweet Tia. This little sweetheart was literally found roaming the streets. When found, Tia was in pretty bad shape. Obvious neglect, her fur was more than 9 inches long and so tangled and matted that we had to shave her. She was afraid and looked lost. She was in pain, scared and probably wondering the street for months. From the second she jumped into the arms of her rescuer she knew she was safe. This little girl is a treasure. It only takes about a minute to fully become attached. She is so full of love and will be completely devoted to her new people. Tia loves nothing more than to sit in your lap and snuggle. She will snuggle on anything that’s soft ad cozy. Your new sweater, a freshly washed blanket, cleaned laundry waiting to be folded, your cloths and your pillow. She’s silly, fun, pure enjoyment and exudes LOVE in capital letters. When Tia is running, if you tell her to sit, she’ll sit before stopping and slides across the floor on her butt. She’s worth a smile a minute. This all wrapped up in 14 pounds of spirit and excitement for those around her. Tia is incredibly smart. She knows most basic commands, sit, stay, wait, outside. She also knows “go potty” (she doesn’t like getting her feet wet on grass) and knows her manners. We’ve worked on training her to walk a straight line during nightly walks with the big dogs and to Stay at the bottom or top of stairs with the wait command, followed by hand signal to allow the humans to go up/down without her running past. She learned a new name in about two days. She loves playing with her toys, a gray squirrel and tug-a-war rope. She also loves her foster brothers and sister. Well, she’s not happy with one. He keeps taking her toys and eating her food. But, she’ll fall asleep curled up next to him on the couch, so it can’t be all that bad. Tia was great with the small child she was introduced too, yet we have not been able to over-expose her yet. Since Tia wants nothing more than to snuggle and lay at your feet she’d probably love getting all the attention and best being the only fur baby in the house or at least the second. This girl deserves to have her second chance with a family that is just filled with love to give. But only if you’re ready to receive it right back.
